CL@VE and Digital Certificate

Spain has made some technological advances in the past few years with using digital databases to help process, solicit, and download legal documents. As a Language Assistant on a Student Visa you are entitled to use these services to help obtain the necessary documents for your time here in Madrid. Two of these services that can be accessed digitally are the CL@VE and the DIGITAL CERTIFICATE; these two platforms allow you to access documents such as your EMPADRONADO, DELITOS SEXUALES, SOCIAL SECURITY, IMMIGRATION, TAXES, and much more. With COVID limiting in person appointments at many government offices these two services can benefit you with saving time and possible exposure. Following these steps will help you move forward with your paperwork.

Obtaining your CL@VE
The CL@VE is an app and web based platform that allows you to solicit documents such as the DELITOS SEXUALES, CERTIFICADO PENALES, and looking at your SEGURIDAD SOCIAL. What I found success was to download the CL@VE PIN app from the GOOGLE PLAY or ITUNES store. 
Once you have downloaded the APP proceed with the following steps:

• Regístrese en Cl@ve-Siguiente.
• Active su dispositivo-Siguiente.
• Acceda al PIN- Siguiente.
• Accept the terms.
• Introduce your NIE which is found on your TIE or Visa- Accept.
• Introduce your Numero de Soporte- This is a 9 Digit number found on your TIE Card under ESTUDIANTE in the top left corner.
• Accept and continue to the next step.
• * At this moment I am unable to clarify the remaining steps as I do not have access to review them again. But you can follow along with steps at this link that is from the CL@VE website. I will update this at a later time when I am able to walk through the exact steps.
• You must confirm your identity to have full access to the app by making a cita previa in person at one of the Tax Offices or by doing it by ZOOM...which is the easiest option in my opinion.
  • You must have Zoom installed on your computer or Mobile Device and proceed with soliciting a call between the hours of 9-2 Monday-Friday. You can make your appointment here.
  • Select Continue.
  • Enter your NIE along with your SOPORTE number.
  • Your SOPORTE number is located on your TIE CARD in the upper right corner.
  • Acceder a la Videollamada- now the button will be grey, you must wait till it turns green. This can take anywhere from a minute to 20 depending on how many calls that they have.
  • Once accessed with the GREEN button you will be put in a Waiting Room where you will be shortly placed with a FUNCIONARIO. 
  • Upon entrance they will state that the call will be recorded. You will then state to them that you need to Confirm your Identity to use the CL@VE platform.
  • The Funcionario will ask you for your name, birthday, and NIE number. You will also be asked to show your card to the camera where they can identify that it is you. 
  • They will ask you to state your cell phone number and email where they will send you a link to obtain your PIN.
  • The message should confirm the following: “Puede consultar el justificante del registro mediante Código Seguro Verificación *********** en www.agenciatributaria.gob.es
    • The ******** code will be personalized for you 
  • Once completed proceed to the Website and once again include your NIE and Soporte Number and Obtener PIN. If you are using your phone you should receive a code via SMS or through the CL@VE PIN App. You should have access to the CL@VE PIN platform and now can confirm your datos and information such as your address, email, and phone number.

From here you will have access to CL@VE PIN and can continue with obtaining documents such as your DELITOS SEXUALES and access to your SEGURIDAD SOCIAL. 

Obtaining your Certificado de DELITOS SEXUALES via CL@VE
Now that you have access to the CL@VE PIN platform you can now download your Certificate of DELITOS SEXUALES and avoid making an in person cita at Calle Bolsa 8. I have found the most success by using my phone to obtain this document as the web based platform required a few extra steps and confirmations.
Follow these steps to obtain the document

• Go to the SEDE ELECTRONICA website here
• Using your mobile device go to “Solicitud de Certificado de Delitos de Naturaleza Sexual”- Tramitación on-line con CL@VE
• A pop up window will show “Redirigiendo a CLAVE para verificar su identidad”
• A new window will be displayed with “Select an identification method”
  • Select the Red Image of the CL@VE PIN and click “access”
  • You will be redirected again and will select “Obtener Pin”
  • You will then receive a 3 digit PIN via the CL@VE PIN app. If you have not received that PIN via the app. Open the app and input your NIE and Soporte again on the login screen. Return to the webpage and try again to obtain the notification for your 3 Digit PIN.
  • Once again a new display will open and click “Aceptar”
• This new webpage will consist of the SEDE Electronica page where you must  confirm your information: name, birthday, nationality, and birthplace.
  • Input your Spanish cell phone number including the +34
  • Input your email (optional).
  • Finalidad.
    • Finalidad a la que se destinará el certificado-Trabajo y/o contacto habitual con menores
  • Enviar.
  • Confirm Datos- Confirmar.
• The final page will consist of a Green Check mark if the process was confirmed. If not revisit the steps to obtain the document.
  • You now can Descargar or Imprimir the document to your device 
  • I recommend downloading and sending it to yourself via email. A copy will be needed for you and your school. 
  • You now have your Certificado.
